If you haven’t booked a band before then you’re bound to have questions. We hope we can answer them here but if not then please don’t hesitate to get in touch.

Where can I see you playing live?
Just drop us a line for details of our next public gig. It will give you the chance to hear and see exactly what you’d be getting if you booked Disco Odyssey. It’s a golden rule that you should never book a band until you’ve seen them play live.
Can I book you provisionally?
Sure. We’re happy to hold a particular date for you although we do ask that you confirm one way or the other within a week or so. If we receive an enquiry in the meantime we’ll make sure we give you ‘first refusal’.
How long does it take you to set up?
We will need access to your venue at least two hours before we are due to play. Setting up normally takes us about an hour and a half. We also like to have a sound check but we realise this isn’t always possible – for example, if you’re getting married and your guests are already situated in the room when we arrive.
How long do you play for?
We normally perform two ‘live’ sets, each one lasting about an hour. Typically this would be from 9.15pm–10.15pm and 10.45pm–11.45pm but we’ll agree the specific timings with you in advance.
Do you use a sequencer to ‘fill out’ your on-stage sound?
No. Every sound you hear will be an authentic one generated by Disco Odyssey. We believe that if you book a ‘live’ band then that’s exactly what you should get.
Will you provide music when you’re not playing?
Absolutely. We can play from a wide selection of tracks or you can plug your iPhone or tablet into our PA and we’ll play tracks that you’ve chosen.
How much space will you need?
Ideally we ask for a playing area that’s 5 x 3 metres and a minimum of two electrical sockets but we are flexible and can usually adapt if required.
What geographical areas do you cover?
Kent, East Sussex, Surrey, Essex and London but we’re happy to consider requests to travel further afield – please contact us for more details.
Can we use your sound system for speeches, raffles etc?
By all means, although bear in mind this facility won’t be available to you until after we’ve set up our equipment and had a full soundcheck.
Do you need feeding?
Yes please. Often it can be 10 hours from the time we leave our front doors to the time we get back home so a little sustenance would be most welcome. Normally we join with guests at the buffet but as a minimum we ask for a sufficient quantity of sandwiches and assorted snacks for 6 people.
Do I need to arrange a changing room for you?
Ideally yes. Your venue should be happy to provide this free of charge.
What do you charge?
There are quite a few factors we need to take into consideration so simply provide us with details of your event and we’ll get back to you asap with a no-obligation quote. By booking Disco Odyssey direct you won’t need to pay an agent’s fee on top, which could save you up to 25%.
